Moroccan Under-21 midfielder Yassine El Khalifi is currently turning heads in the Belgian league with Sporting Charleroi. The talented player made the switch from French club Lille OSC to Sporting Charleroi. Although sources point to the summer of 2025 as the official transfer date, his impact is already being felt.
His rapid breakthrough and outstanding talent at the Belgian club have earned him widespread praise. In midfield, El Khalifi has demonstrated the quality needed to quickly adapt to the level of the Belgian league.
His performances and rapid development have already drawn comparisons to Mbark Boussoufa. Boussoufa previously established himself as a celebrated Moroccan star in Belgium, and the comparison to the former playmaker highlights the immense potential attributed to El Khalifi.
With his background at Lille OSC, the young Moroccan has a solid foundation. At Sporting Charleroi, he now has the opportunity to further establish himself and live up to the high expectations that come with the Boussoufa comparisons.
